Halloween Lunchbox Notes-Celebrate Halloween the whole month long with the kids!

Our Halloween Lunchbox Notes have arrived again.
We hope these make the kids Halloween even more special.....Enjoy!

Love, Love, Love this time of year and all the fun holidays and events that come with it....have I said that before? :)   I love to look out my window and see the entire mountain side changing from green to orange, yellow, red and brown. Then there's another chance a little later down here in town to witness the amazing color transformation again. Fall is such an amazing time of year. It's also a time of new beginnings:  (1)New school year  (2) Football season begins  again. (3)Favorite TV shows return  (4)Cooler weather is back  (5)Halloween and trick or treating commence (6)Thanksgiving and pumpkin pies are front and center again. So many wonderful things!

I'd like to add to this fabulous list of fun fall events by releasing our Halloween Lunchbox Notes!  I believe that Halloween should be celebrated throughout the month of October and not just one day. Slip one of these fun Halloween themed lunchbox notes in your child's lunchbox and they are sure to put a smile upon their face and make this holiday even more special to them.

Mostly, the reason I design lunchbox notes is that I believe children need as much positive feedback and positive influence as they can get. I don't believe that criticizing a child will make them a better reader, or better at math or anything they are trying to do in school.....However I do believe that a positive thought works wonders. That goes for children AND adults.  These lunchbox notes are like a hug and a kiss from Mom/Dad/Grandma/Grandpa during school. Seems like such a simple thing, these lunchbox notes....but I can tell you they can become so important to a child.  It will be a tradition that they will truly cherish.  ENJOY

Fun for the Kids Lunch at Home or School-15 Tags for Bottled Water--Make Drinking Water Fun!

We've designed 15 different tags to put on the water bottles for the kids school lunch or at home.  If you're trying to encourage them to drink less soda and fruit drinks and more water then this will help in your endeavors. The tag will make the water bottle FUN! They work in the same way as our lunchbox notes. Each tag is showing love and/or encouragement for your child.  They will definitely put a smile on their faces.

Click HERE to go to our Etsy Shop and purchase these 15 Water Bottle Tags.
It's a simple thing you can do for your kids.

We buy our bottled water at Costco. You can get 70 bottles for just $6.99....that's about 10 cents a bottle. I don't know of any other drink that you can get for that price and is as good for the kids as water.  The 8 oz bottle is the perfect size for the lunchbox too. We just use the box the water comes in to store them in our pantry.

All you do is download the digital file, print and cut them out and adhere to the bottle. I just use scotch tape.   Print off enough for at least a month. You could let the kids select the bottle they want on a particular day or surprise them with a bottle you've chosen. The "Good luck on your test" is a great one for test day.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Treat-Perfect After School Snack for the Kids

Are you a fan of Chocolate and Peanut Butter...and do you like them together? I recently saw a commercial for Peanut Butter Cheerios and I thought to myself...I could make a sweet treat with the Chocolate Cheerios and the Peanut Butter Cheerio cereals mixed together and adding in melted marshmallows....like Rice Krispies, only using Cheerios.  I picked up the cereal and marshmallows and made up the treat you see below.  It's pretty good.  You can really taste the peanut butter AND the chocolate as you eat one of these marshmallow treats.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Treats

3 tablespoons of butter
1 package (10 oz, about 40) regular marshmallows or
5 cups miniature marshmallows (this has more marshmallows then that other famous marshmallow treats recipe but I always add more marshmallow.  You'll find they taste even better)

3 cups Chocolate Cheerios
3 cups Peanut Butter Cheerios

In a large sauce pan, melt butter over low heat.  Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from Heat.

Add the both the Chocolate Cheerios and the Peanut Butter Cheerios and stir until well coated.

Using a buttered spatula or wax paper, evenly press mixture into a 13x9x2 pan coated with cooking spray or butter. Cool.

Cut into 2 inch squares. Best if eaten the same day. (But I don't think you'll have any leftovers)

So the stars of this recipe are the Chocolate Cheerios and the Peanut Butter Cheerios.  I think this treat would perfect to put in the kid's school lunch. The other kids will be jealous!
