Boo Bowling! A Ghostly Halloween Party Game that's Fun for the kids

Here's a fun game for the kids at your Halloween party. It's a nice safe game.
We first saw this game  in the Taste of Home magazine. It's a great idea!

Our dollar store paper towels had a bit of a design but I'm sure if you
prefer a plain paper towel you can find them. You want a very thin roll.
We tried to use our Costco paper towels and the roll was over an 1" thicker.
(as it should be)  Use a clear piece of tape to secure the starting edge
of the paper towel. (The starting edge on the paper towels I used was still
secured to the roll so I didn't have to use tape)
We bought the foam pumpkin at Michaels for $6.99.
Already had the 1" electrical tape and the googly eyes.

Set up the 6 paper towel rolls in a triangle on a flat surface and
let the kids take a turn throwing the pumpkin (as if it were a bowling ball)
and see how many "pins" they can knock down. This is a game that can
be played over and over, as many times as they want and for as long as it is fun!

Use an exacto knife to cut the three circles. Just make sure they are
large enough for everyone's fingers. You can either use black paint or
black marker to color the sides of the circles. The foam is a dark yellow
color and not very "Halloweenie" (is that a word?)

When we put the googly eyes on the bowling pins
(attached with foam tabs) we made each one a little different,
but it's up to you how you style your ghosts.  So now you have
another fun game to add to your Halloween tradition and best
of all it's easy on the wallet...... Enjoy!

Awesome Onion Rings You've Got To Try—Super Easy Using Vidalia Onions From Georgia

I just made a batch of these AWESOME Onion Rings. They are definitely a hit with the family. After soaking them in buttermilk you dip them in a flour/spice mixture and then into a flour/milk/egg batter.  Then you dip them in bread crumbs, even Panko bread crumbs, and they are absolutely delicious!   I like to make up the "FRY SAUCE" that is so famous here in Utah to go with our onion rings.  I put some mayonnaise in a bowl and then squirt on some ketchup and mix it up. Sometimes I add some buttermilk to the mixture.  If you don't have buttermilk you can just add a teaspoon or so to a half a cup of milk and let it sit. After it has sat for a few minutes you can add it to the ketchup/mayo mixture. It will be delicious!!!

The only onion that I cook with these days are the Vidalia Onions from Georgia. Every year at this time the sweet Vidalia onions are harvested and ready to buy.  I get mine at Costco where a 10 lb bag is only $7.00.  Vidalia onions are sweeter than other onions and we love them.  I'll purchase 4 or 5 bags and cut each onion up into small pieces and freeze in individual ziplock freezer bags so we can cook with these awesome onions all year long. So this time of year it is "Onion Rings" time for us.  We use the fresh onions and not ones that we have frozen for the onion rings. I like to cut the rings up in ½" rings instead of a thinner ring. You've got to try this recipe if you are a fan of onion rings. They will taste just as good, if not better, than restaurant onion rings.  Let me know how the they turn out in comments below.

How to Wrap Up Birthday Cash - The Perfect Birthday Gift Idea for the "Hard to buy for" Person Happy Birthday Tags and Labels

If you like to give CASH for birthday presents then we've got a really fabulous way to gift wrap that cash.  We've designed a label that fits nicely around a soda bottle but you can also put it on other containers.  Fill the bottle with a lot of cash or a little cash. We used $1.00 bills and could put 30 in the bottle (the one shown isn't filled up completely)  Crinkle the bills a bit  as you put them inside so they won't fall to the bottom. You can also fill up the bottom of the bottle with crinkle paper.

We also have a design that's perfect for the boys!

And yes, we've included a cute "Happy Birthday" tag for the top of the bottle.  There are three different sizes for you to choose from.  Back them with your favorite scrapbook paper as shown if you like.

The three balloons say "Party"  "Celebrate" and "Cheers"

You can layer the tags as much as you like with matching scrapbook paper or just use the tag the way it is, without any backing. Sizes shown are 3", 2.5" and 2"

We wanted to take a photo of the bottle without the cash so you could see how it looks.  It's a super simple craft and so much fun to do. For BIG girls and LITTLE girls.

The dark pink paper in photo is not cut straight across. We liked this look but it turned out that it was difficult to match the ends etc so we opted for a straight cut.

Cut a piece of scrapbook paper the same height as your largest paper (5" tall) and wide enough to cover the gap between the two edges of the light pink and label pieces and glue it down.

Whoever you give this cute "Money" gift to will absolutely love it. It looks like you went to a lot of work when in reality it was pretty easy and fun to make.  We have one similar to this for boys in our Blog ad Etsy shop.
