Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Treat-Perfect After School Snack for the Kids

Are you a fan of Chocolate and Peanut Butter...and do you like them together? I recently saw a commercial for Peanut Butter Cheerios and I thought to myself...I could make a sweet treat with the Chocolate Cheerios and the Peanut Butter Cheerio cereals mixed together and adding in melted marshmallows....like Rice Krispies, only using Cheerios.  I picked up the cereal and marshmallows and made up the treat you see below.  It's pretty good.  You can really taste the peanut butter AND the chocolate as you eat one of these marshmallow treats.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Treats

3 tablespoons of butter
1 package (10 oz, about 40) regular marshmallows or
5 cups miniature marshmallows (this has more marshmallows then that other famous marshmallow treats recipe but I always add more marshmallow.  You'll find they taste even better)

3 cups Chocolate Cheerios
3 cups Peanut Butter Cheerios

In a large sauce pan, melt butter over low heat.  Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from Heat.

Add the both the Chocolate Cheerios and the Peanut Butter Cheerios and stir until well coated.

Using a buttered spatula or wax paper, evenly press mixture into a 13x9x2 pan coated with cooking spray or butter. Cool.

Cut into 2 inch squares. Best if eaten the same day. (But I don't think you'll have any leftovers)

So the stars of this recipe are the Chocolate Cheerios and the Peanut Butter Cheerios.  I think this treat would perfect to put in the kid's school lunch. The other kids will be jealous!
