{Tutorial} Thanksgiving Pumpkin 3D Place Card-Super Simple To Make

We stumbled upon a tutorial for a cute card with a 3D paper pumpkin and knew we had to make it up in a place card for the "Adult" table for Thanksgiving. But then we thought it would also work nicely for a Halloween place card.  You could just use paper that is more Halloween themed.  It was pretty easy to make and assemble. The four circles only measures 2.5" so you could use up your orange scrapbook paper from Halloween

You can use a solid paper or one with a design. We ran the stripes going up and down on one pumpkin and then side to side on the other. There are a lot of pretty Thanksgiving scrapbook paper out there to choose from. To make sure all the name tags looked alike we cut a piece of white cardstock the same size as the tags, cut the end and used it as a template for all the tags.

We used a 8" x 3 3/4" piece of white cardstock and folded it in half.  The pumpkin is centered and on the bottom so there was room for the name strip, which measured 3" long x 3/4" wide. We used vinyl lettering for the names but you could certainly write the names onto the name tag. We followed the tutorial exactly with regards to the size of the pumpkin. We cut out our own leaves and stem freehand, no template. And SURPRISE! No inking. I know, you're shocked.

Here's a close-up of the top of the 3D pumpkin. I used glue dots to attach the (1st) tendril to the pumpkin, (2nd) leaves and (3rd) the stem and then to attach the entire pumpkin to the white card.
