New DIY Project {The White Silk Purse}

Here's a cute DIY Project from one of our friends, Dana from "The White Silk Purse" blog. So cute!

I like to craft, and every now and then I see something that I must do! When I saw this idea it was done with paint. However, this is so easy if you have a vinyl cutting machine (or a friend who will do it for you!). -- I have a new granddaughter who needed her own personalized soap and lotion.... What do you think?  It was fun!  Just remove the labels from the soap and lotion, clean off the sticky residue with this:
The spray is Pure Citrus Orange Room Spray available at Amazon.com.  (This magical spray takes sticky off of anything.  It also removes indelible ink and crayon off any hard surface. Smells nice too!)

When the bottles are clean, apply the vinyl and you have a fast, easy personalized baby gift.
Fast, cute, and fun!

Thanks Dana from {The White Silk Purse} What a great idea....and I do happen to know someone who could cut out vinyl for you.......hmmmmm, oh that's right, it's me!  Personalizing things around your home is a lot of fun and easy to do.

We'd love to hear about the DIY Project you've done!

Cute Father's Day Card/Notes {Pebbles in my Pocket}

Here's a fun way to tell Dad how much you love him.  We picked this up at Pebbles in my Pocket  for only $3.99. Everything is included in the kit. You can buy it online or at their store.  It's very easy to put together.

This cute Father's day card comes with pre-designed journaling cards for the kid(s) to fill out for dad.  Size 4.25"x5.25". A Pebbles exclusive. Kit includes:

1 Pocket Card (pre-scored and folded-blue)
1-3.75" Tie,
1-8.5"x11" sheet with printed cards (a) 5 things I love about you and  (b) 5 things I want to do with you and (c) 5 coupon strips (this coupone good for....)
1 coordinating Envelope and Instruction sheet

You just fold the blue paper at pre-scored lines and glue the sides to make the envelope.  Fold down the two front pieces to make the shirt collar and glue the tie onto the shirt. The papers fit nicely inside the "shirt" and the numbered coupons slide down in front of the papers. A envelope is also included. I'm sure this card will end up in the keepsake box!

{Do-It-Yourself} One-of-a-kind Apron

Here's our first DIY Project {do-it-yourself} What a darling apron! Jessica {Stemmons} drew up her own pattern and designed it herself. She used her new serger, which she dearly loves. There are  four rows of gathers on the bottom and one at the top. She lined with a companion piece of material { green}  Written all over the material are cute cooking words: sugar and spice, kiss the cook, cupcake, yummy, etc. There's even a definition of sugar and flour. It's too cute to wear. Wouldn't want to get anything on it!
