{Valentine's Day} M&M's. KitKats & Chocolate Cake, Plus a Candy Tree

More Sweets for the Sweetest day of the Year-Valentine's Day.  Some people are so brilliant with dessert!  Which one would your sweetheart prefer?



Ahhhhhh, M&M's, KitKats and chocolate cake!  It would be a shame to cut into it!   From the Post: "Valentine Candy cake is Darn Good Chocolate Cake filled and frosted with chocolate buttercream. Roses are gumpaste. Kitkats, M&M's and purchased ribbon. Happy Valentines Day"  SOURCE

 A candy bar topiary? How Sweet!  Pin the candy onto a foam piece, add a dowel and place in a bucket. Put something heavy in the bottom of the bucket to hold it up. SOURCE

Valentine's Day Cakes - Excellent Valentine's Day Dessert Recipes

I love a beautiful cake/dessert!  Especially when it tastes delicious. We've found some real "show stoppers" here.  You know....you eat with your eyes first!  We found lots of cakes using ruffled fondant (They are so pretty) and we found a lot of people making cakes using graduated layers or color, also called ombre.  We chose the pink ones for this post in honor of Valentine's Day.


This is my favorite of the bunch. A chocolate cake surrounded with pink and white chocolate covered pretzel sticks.  Being the huge fan of pink, as I am, this one just caught my eye. Yum! SOURCE
