Freebies Christmas Hershey Nugget Treat Tray Printables

Our Halloween Hershey Nugget trays were so popular for Halloween treats we decided to make up a Christmas version. These little treats can literally be given to anyone in your life....friends, family, neighbors, teachers, mailman, lawn man, hair stylist etc.  They are very easy to make. We supply you with all the paper designs and the tags, you supply the Hershey Nugget candies and clear pretzel bags (bags can be found at Walmart, JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, Michaels etc) and paper for the back of the tag and tray and you're good to go!

Discontinued.....These Christmas Nugget printables are no longer available. We are unable to get the author of the blog that has been hosting a link to these wraps for the past 6 years. Sorry about that.

Put the ho ho ho Hershey Nuggets with the Santa Tag. The snow nuggets go with "I'm dreaming of  a white Christmas"  We've designed 16 different sets of papers for you to use.

The joy nuggets go with the "Joy to the World" tag. Put the bell nuggets with "Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings"  The snow nuggets can be put with the "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas or "Let it snow" tags.

We put the brrr nuggets with "Let it Snow"  The star nuggets go nicely with "Joy to the World".  For the Xmas nuggets add a "Merry Christmas" tag.  We've designed tags in the light blue and red to match the printables that are light blue and red.... and there's also tags designed to go with the red and green printables.

We've included some tags for the teacher and put the "Merry Christmas" nuggets with it.  The gingerbread nuggets in red and light blue go nicely with the "Merry Christmas" tags with the Santa on the paper--the tag on the present says "to teacher"  "Have a holly jolly Christmas" tag is atop a package of  nuggets wrapped up in Christmas themed cardstock.

Here's another version of "Let it Snow" atop the brrr nuggets. This is a red and green themed "Xmas" version with a red and green "Merry Christmas" tag. "Have a holly jolly Christmas" tag with the reindeer can go on most any of the nuggets.

There are the 12 different tags that we've put together for you to use on your Christmas Hershey Nugget trays. Mix and match, it's totally up to you. We used several options for attaching the paper labels to the nuggets....glue dots, glue stick and tape. We found the Scotch satin finish tape (purple package) worked the best and it disappears into the paper, but you can also use regular tape. The glue stick would sometimes allow the papers to come open with time (as shown in one of our Merry Christmas trays above)  Glue dots are make it hard to adjust the paper if you don't have it quite right the first time. We used a 1.5" scallop punch for these tags and then a 2" scallop for the backing. You could use a round punch for each too. You could also cut these tags out using a 2" scallop or round and forget the backing piece.  Use the silver twist ties that come with the pretzel bags to wrap around the bag and close it. There's no need to use twine or ribbon to close the bag. Attach the finished tag to the pretzel bag with a foam dot or a glue dot.

{Tutorial} Thanksgiving Pumpkin 3D Place Card-Super Simple To Make

We stumbled upon a tutorial for a cute card with a 3D paper pumpkin and knew we had to make it up in a place card for the "Adult" table for Thanksgiving. But then we thought it would also work nicely for a Halloween place card.  You could just use paper that is more Halloween themed.  It was pretty easy to make and assemble. The four circles only measures 2.5" so you could use up your orange scrapbook paper from Halloween

You can use a solid paper or one with a design. We ran the stripes going up and down on one pumpkin and then side to side on the other. There are a lot of pretty Thanksgiving scrapbook paper out there to choose from. To make sure all the name tags looked alike we cut a piece of white cardstock the same size as the tags, cut the end and used it as a template for all the tags.

We used a 8" x 3 3/4" piece of white cardstock and folded it in half.  The pumpkin is centered and on the bottom so there was room for the name strip, which measured 3" long x 3/4" wide. We used vinyl lettering for the names but you could certainly write the names onto the name tag. We followed the tutorial exactly with regards to the size of the pumpkin. We cut out our own leaves and stem freehand, no template. And SURPRISE! No inking. I know, you're shocked.

Here's a close-up of the top of the 3D pumpkin. I used glue dots to attach the (1st) tendril to the pumpkin, (2nd) leaves and (3rd) the stem and then to attach the entire pumpkin to the white card.

Happy Thanksgiving from November 1952. No, I wasn't born yet but I do appreciate this vintage cover, especially the Mom preparing Thanksgiving dinner in a dress with a lovely half apron. (what good is a half apron, in my experience it's always the top that gets food on it)  You go girl!   The Ward-O-Matic

{Tutorial} Thanksgiving Crayon Holder/Place Card for the Kids Table

We've designed something for the kids that has a dual purpose. It's a place card AND a crayon holder. It's something that will make the kids table looks great and give the kids something to do while you're get dinner ready. It may be something the kids can help you put together too.

There are two different turkey's in this tutorial plus a free tag....there are a lot of different ways to make up this box. See all the photos below.

We put the kids names on a piece of paper measuring 3" long x 3/4" wide.(we inked it using chestnut brown ink from American Crafts)  I used vinyl lettering for the name but you could certainly hand print them. This box will hold 24 crayons. When I went to purchase the crayons the 16 count box was $1.29 and the 24 count box was $1.49. This way you give the kids lots of choices for coloring and they fit nicely inside the box.

Instructions for the Thanksgiving Crayon Box/Place Card
Use your favorite autumn colored scrapbook paper and cut 6" x 4.5". Score in on every side 1 1/2".  Fold at the score lines. Cut out the piece on the top and the bottom as shown above.

I used a glue stick to put the box together and it didn't hold as well as the double-sided tape so I recommend the tape. Make sure the triangle shaped flaps are on the inside.

If you want to apply ribbon to the box cut out a strip 4" long and glue with double-sided tape to the box. I used a glue dot on each end of the bow piece. Meet each end of the bow piece in the middle of the ribbon and then, using another glue dot to attach the middle strip.

Cut out the edge pieces with two measuring 3" x 2" and two measuring 2" x 1 1/2".  Then score each piece in at 1/2"

Use double-sided tape on the outside edge and attach to the box. Then put another piece of double-sided tape to the inside flap and attach to the box.

The finished box measures 3" long x 1 1/2" deep

Instructions for Scalloped Feathers Turkey
For this turkey you will need a 2" scallop paper punch and a 1 1/2" scallop paper punch.

Cut out two scallop feather pieces, one body back and a body front. The body front is in the shape of a peanut or a bowling pin (however you look at it)  It measures 2" tall and 3/4" wide. Cut out a small triangle for the beak. Instructions for cutting out the waddle are below. Use the smallest googly eye you can find, but you could just draw in the eyes if you like. EK Success has both sizes of scallop punches on their web site.

Stack and stagger the feathers and the body back and glue together. We used paper with polkadots but you could also use a solid color and add another scallop feather piece.

Instructions for Multi-Feathers Turkey
If you don't have a oval paper punch (and I didn't) you can make them using a circle paper punch. We used a 2 1/4" round paper punch from EK Success.

First cut out a half circle for your feathers using a 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" round paper punch.

Put that half circle piece back into the circle cutter as shown above and you'll have your feather shaped pieces.

Shown above is a thin feather and a fat feather . I would suggest doing this step using scrap paper that you aren't using for your final feathers, just until you get the hang of it.

We used a 1 1/2" scallop circle for this step but you could use a larger one too. Then put the circle back into the paper punch and just cut a small piece/edge for your waddle.

This is how you put your turkey together. Use as many feathers as you want, The top sample of feathers has been inked and the bottom ones are not.

Now you've got something fun for the kids table. Something that is festive and will give the kids something to do while you get dinner on the table.  Be sure to include their name on the crayon box.
