All things old are new again-Lamps and Lampshades

Time again for DIY projects... After taking down your Christmas decorations your home  may look a little bare and may motivate you to add some new decor. Check out the the decor below that can be done for little money and a little work.

I love the details in the base of these lamps. They have been painted some fun colors that will surely brighten up any space.  All you have to do is look at garage sales or thrift shops to find cool things like this. Then give them a coat of paint and you've got something wonderful to add to the decor of your home.  Down below is a tutorial for recovering a lamp shade so you can complete the project plus more DIY lamps. The top shades are from Pottery Barn at $59 each. The bottom lamp and shade are DIY for less than $10. Get the tutorial Here at Shabbycreekcottage

Here's a lamp that is so unique. If you can drill a hole in a circle then you can do this.  Find the complete tutorial HERE

Another example of a unique floor lamp that's square instead of round.  This is a DIY Project! Get all the details HERE

Basically you CAN decorate your home in a beautiful way at a very low price if you shop the thrift stores or garage sales.....Just use your wonderful imagination--Yeah, You've Got This!
